Techstars LA announces second class of 10 startups, from food to fashion

Techstars – LA announced its second class of 10 startups, ranging from food trucks to fashion and haircuts.

Techstars LA continues its commitment to diversity with its second class. About 60% of the startups are led by CEOs from underrepresented communities.  In addition, every company has women or other underrepresented individuals on the team.

“While their businesses and backgrounds are diverse, what we looked for in the founders was a common set of traits: growth mindset, determination, humility, and passion,” said Anna Barber, Techstars LA Managing Director, in a Techstars blogpost.

“These are leaders that have inspired us to share their vision and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to help them accelerate. We’re confident these founders will embrace the program theme of “personal growth drives company growth,” she added.

The Techstars LA second class started in July and will conclude with a Demo Day in October. The 10 companies will work with Techstars experts, mentors, and more to refine and develop their startups, from strategy to tech to marketing.
